DRIVEN PILES

Driven piles made out of eucalyptus are often used on beaches by the North and Baltic Sea to prevent the extensive sand erosion.

Description

Botanical name: Eucalyptus cloeziana
Characteristics/features: Contrary to most other timbers, Eucalyptus cloeziana has a natural resistance to naval shipworms (Teredo navalis), which makes this a great material for coastal preservation. Our piles are exclusively sourced from sustainably managed plantations in Southern Africa. A 100% certification by the Forest Stewardship Council is available upon request.
